Four More Missionaries!

Last Wednesday we received these two missionaries from Mexico.  They have been waiting several months for their visas and we were so happy that they finally received them!

We love the first glimpse of them at the airport.  We usually just wave and then have to wait for them to get their luggage before we can actually meet them. 

We came to the mission home and President Lovell and the assistants welcomed them and oriented them to the mission...

..and of course we ate! 

The next day there was training with the office and with me!

and we ate again!

They had fun sharing some of their "spicy" candy with Hermana Ehmke!

Our new Elder met his new companion and headed off to Roca that evening. 

Our new Hermana will be  in the Zapala Zone with this Hermana.

 

 

 

 

Today we received two more wonderful missionaries!  Our new Hermana is from Peru and our new Elder is from Columbia!

Our Hermana from Peru will take the bus for twenty two hours to Pico Truncado in the Caleta Zone.

 

Our new Elder will be in a trio with the Zone Leaders from Neuquén Oeste until the next transfer.

 

These new missionaries bring such an excitement and enthusiasm to the mission and we are so grateful for them.

New Pillows

We were planning on getting new pillows for all the missionaries in the near future but when  we received this photo showing one Elder's very flat pillow doubled over in his night shirt we knew it was time!

We took this seriously!  We bought several pillows and had our pillow experts try them out.

These are the pillows for the Roca Zone. We will deliver them tomorrow when we go there for Zone Conference.

 

Most of the missionaries received their pillows in their zone meetings with their zone leaders but we were able to be there to give them to the Roca Zone and the Neuquén Zones.

 

The Elder in the middle of this picture owned the very flat pillow I showed at the first of this post! 

 

 

The Zone Leaders and the Assistants had a good time giving the pillows to the missionaries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The missionaries said it was like Christmas and they were so appreciative!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Now all the missionaries in the mission should be getting a better night sleep! 

Hyrum's Baptism

 

Yesterday our  grandson Hyrum was baptized by his father Clark.  Because we were not able to be there, this is our way to celebrate this very special event with him.  We are so proud of him and all the good choices he is making and we love him very much!

 

We are also grateful for his wonderful family that loves and supports him!

District and Zone Leader Council

All the Zone Leaders and District Leaders from the entire mission  came into Neuquén this week for a District and Zone Leader Council. Some of these great missionaries are zone or district leaders for the first time and some have also served during previous transfers. They are all are so important to the success of the mission!
