The weekend before Stake Conference we drove to Zapala for an Asado with the Zapala Stake Presidency and the Bishops and their wives. There was to be a change in the Stake Presidency at Stake Conference the next week so this would be the last time we would all meet together. President Cerda had served as Stake President for 10 years! (He is 4th from the right)
An Argentine Asado is such a tradition. It is similar to a barbeque in the U.S. There is always delicious meat and usually different kinds of salads.
I love how they mix all kinds of vegetables together to make their salads.
The next week we returned to Zapala for the Stake Conference. Elder Vinez of the Area Presidency and Elder Batalla our Area Seventy presided over the conference and gave inspiring talks. President Lovell and I both bore our testimonies along with all of the past and new leaders.
Cristian Mario Cardenas is the New Stake President of the Zapala Stake.
Nakad Saade and Jorge Dominguez are the two councelors.
There was an excitement among the members and the missionaries after an inspiring meeting.
It is wonderful to know that the Lord's work is going forward all over the world.
